The General Synod of the Anglican Province of North America is the legislative body entrusted with the government of the Province, established under God for the preservation of true religion, the maintenance of apostolic order, and the advancement of the mission of the Gospel.
It meets ordinarily every two years, and extraordinarily as the welfare of the Province may require, that it may take counsel together in matters of doctrine, worship, discipline, and the common life of the Church.
House of Bishops
The House of Bishops exercises spiritual oversight and episcopal leadership within the Province, safeguarding the apostolic faith and order received from the undivided Church and deliberating for the legislative governance and pastoral care of the whole body.
